Volition’s roster of artists was largely Australian dance and electronic music acts, with a smattering of indie rock and a couple of bands licensed from overseas labels.

The label’s range of genres diversified later into the 90s as Pacifika hip hop and RnB was added, with the 1994 compilation album release, “Proud (An Urban-Pacific Streetsoul Compilation)”, which featured artists such as Semi MCs, OMC, and Sisters Underground.
